Ty’r Derw (meaning house of the oak in Welsh) is a luxurious treetop hideaway in this stunning and breath-taking location, ideal for friends, family or couples wanting to reconnect and escape the pressures of modern day life. Nestled in a gorgeous woodland and on the edge of farm meadows the treehouse boasts an outdoor copper bath and private hot tub.
Ty’r Derw sleeps up to 4 people in 2 separate bedrooms with the option of a 5th bed best suited for a child and is luxuriously furnished with a fully equipped granite work top kitchen and items of bespoke furniture. The stunning indoor shower room enjoys underfloor heating and has a waterfall shower, toilet and counter top sink. Patio doors lead onto the largest of two balconies where you can enjoy alfresco dining and stunning sunsets.
A treehouse for all the family
The main balcony is wrapped around two oak trees where you can dine under the canopy or spend a night huddled around the flames of the fire-pit, while the low light levels provide a location that is ideal for star gazing. Breathe in the fresh woodland air and relax listening to the babbling stream or for those more adventurous explore the woodland and have a go on the rope swing, go hiking from the treehouse or bring your bike and head out onto the nearby mountain bike trails.
What’s more, the site is only 7 miles away from Aberystwyth where there are ample restaurants and pubs, with a plethora of natural attractions from hill top walks to sandy beaches.

There is another treehouse onsite, although they are over 200 meters apart.
Ty'r Derw is in the woodland 20 metres up from the carpark, trolley provided for luggage
Please bring suitable outdoor clothing, wellies, torches, food supply, and charcoal if you would like a BBQ
Please note this is a working farm and likely to have sheep/lambing/hay making/feeding sheep in winter for short periods in fields and meadows adjacent
No internet or mobile reception at the treehouse *, 3G (subject to network) is available a short drive up the road
